Studio Baluchon which specializes in custom-made tiny houses has a wonderful portfolio that you can check out and one of their latest projects was this beautiful house on wheels which they called Ala Köl

Posted by admin on

It was built for a couple living in France and it includes some really interesting and inspiring features were we’re going to take a closer look at in a moment.
The house features a glass-framed entry wall with built-in roof lights
The house is built on a 6-meter long trailer and has a simple but also stylish and playful aesthetic. The off-center roofline adds a bit of flair and character to the design and helps the house stand out. Another notable design feature is the side wall which contains the entrance. This is made predominantly of transparent glass which allows natural sunlight to go through but also allows a nice view from inside of the surrounding area as well as the other way around. The rest of the house’s exterior is clad in vertical cedar boards. The asymmetrical gray metal roof transitions into a straight wall on one side, ultimately the house a two-tone design.
The entry door leads into the combined living and dining areaA set of stairs with built-in storage modules leads up to the loft bedroomThe dining table can be folded down to save space when not needed
The truly special features can be found inside the house. Given the limited proportions of the house, the designers made sure to take advantage of every little space. They created an inviting main area furnished with a comfortable sofa and a fold-down expandable table which can be used for a variety of different activities. This space transitions into a small kitchen with a stove, a mini-fridge, a stylish black sink and a good amount of storage inside the mint green cabinets as well as on the shelves. At the rear of the house are the bathroom with a walk-in shower, a laundry area and a storage closet. The loft bedroom can be reached via the storage stairs and has its own custom shelving unit with accent lighting and a couple of windows that give a really nice view from above.
The kitchen features black fixtures and appliances and LED accent lightsA set of small windows fill this area with natural light during the dayThe multitude of windows helps to make this tiny house feel very airy and openThe bedroom is suspended above the bathroom and kitchen areasThe shape of the roof gives this space a very cozy feelThe bathroom has a walk-in shower and a dedicated laundry nook next to itThere’s also a generous storage closet in the bathroomThe asymmetrical shape and contrasting facade designs give the house a modern and playful look
