One of the most important artists from the Netherlands in the moment is Joep Beving, who reached via Spotify a giant audience all over the world. But there a lot more exciting contemporary classical artists from this country and one them is: Muriël Bostdorp
The Dutch composer from Heemskerk, who works as a piano teacher is going to release her first album for solo piano in the next months - an album that will be a wonderful experience for fans of this genre.
Her introspective, evocative and beautiful first compositions ("About A Girl", "Carrousel", "En Route") with their minimalistic piano themes are perfectly written and a wonderful foretaste for the upcoming album that will be mainly influenced by neo classical musicians like Nils Frahm, Julien Marchal and of course Joep Beving.
But her piano works were also shaped by the minimal music legend Philip Glass and the German composer Paul Hindemith, who is known for his song cycle "Das Marienleben" and the opera "Mathis der Maler" and coined the genre "new music" in the 20th century enormously. Stay tuned for her first album and enjoy her current piano works.
