Two premieres at once in this week. First of all, it is such a pleasure to present you the first article about a vocalist on my blog. Her name is Hannah Sumner and she is going to release her collaborative EP "Guesthouse" soon. Her new eclectic electronic-ambient "Parasoma" is the first track of her forthcoming recording. Enjoy here the premiere of the spherical video for this special piece.
"Parasoma" will be opening track of her second EP and it "means the imagined world of a child" and was recorded with Vasko Dukovski and David Zisa (Producer). The alternative vocalist from the US East Coast produced and wrote in the last weeks and months this electronic, collaborative mini-album with a lot of other creative minds. It features on every track a different composer or producers, and allowed Hannah "to branch out and create new relationships."
Hannah is mostly known in the modern classical scene for her work with the Mississippi-based composer Jameson Nathan Jones, who featured her on his second piece "Fallen" of his latest album "What Dreams May Come". She impressed with her admirable, soulful voice on this track and created together with Jameson Nathan Jones immensely soundscapes on this composition.
Jameson Nathan Jones will be also featured on the upcoming EP, which is the follow-up to her solo debut "To The Almost". This critical acclaimed EP was released in the winter 2015 and features solely original tracks by Hannah, who worked together with the arranger and producer Avi Gunther (Snarky Puppy, Lalah Hathaway) in the studio. "To The Almost" is a musical reflexion of all her years on tour and in the studio of this world and features from electronic minimalism and alternative folk to some pop tracks a wide variety of genres. The Clash Magazine wrote in a review about it: "Hannah Sumner makes pop music of a remarkably atmospheric hue. Absorbing, cinematic senses, the singer released her immaculate debut EP last year and is set to follow that with her debut album shortly."
I hope you enjoy this new musical expierence on my blog and stay tuned for Hannah's EP "Guesthouse".
